Benito's Vegetable Store
Product Designer / UX Designer
Project Overview
Benito's store needed an easy to use system to manage its product catalog using a mobile device, providing greater flexibility for on-the-go inventory updates & management. Additionally, Benito wanted to establish a strong online presence with a website that would promote the products & also enable customers to make purchases directly from the platform.
My role
I performed user research, competitive analysis, & problem solving. Created user flows, wireframes and prototypes in a 3 week sprint. I worked on this real client project thinking about the website and app structure to create the best user experience always with simplicity in mind.

Mobile Features (Admin)
This flow lets the Admin see the catalog of products that are published to customers, in which you can check the number of units or kilos remaining for each one, allows you to see the cost & sale price as well as an image. It has a search bar to allow product searching without having to scroll, Plus each product has an edit button which would give you the possibility to modify any information or update the stock. There’s a button that allows you to add new products, clicking on it would show the screen on the right being able to enter the product data, select whether it is sold by kilos or units & set an image by clicking add image which could be take a photo with the phone's camera or select one from the gallery.
Additional features include notification bell which will be used when a product is low in stock, the app will notify the Admin to restock the product & in the event that a product finishes the Admin would see the product as out of stock and users would see it as well.
Desktop Features (Ecom)
For the customers section I considered it's important to show the home page with some promotions as a hero images motivating the user to buy the products, followed by that it's the section of our products that show you the most sold products that might be interesting, reaching the end of the page there is a small story of Benito's vegetable store which also has a call to action that would take you to a more detailed story in the about us section, finally the footer is something simple but It includes the available in the Appstore and GooglePlay because I consider this platform should be both a website & mobile app to reach more users. The shopping cart it's found on the header, placed where it's usually found on Ecom sites, this makes it more intuitive for users by muscle memory. If any user clicks on a CTA to buy this would take it to the products catalog. From the shopping cart on there's a comun checkout process to gain user trust while selling the products.
